Flowers always light up dull spaces within the home. As the English weather makes the interior of our houses gloomy for the majority of the time, splashes of colour are a welcome addition.
As we all know, real blooms and plants are very expensive to buy and they will not last very long, and especially with central heating they will soon begin to wilt.

You need to cut some of the wire stems to create different heights. It is always best to place the largest blooms in the centre of the display and arrange feathery foliage around them before adding smaller flowers at the edge to complete your arrangement.
You do not have to be an expert to make a successful decoration for your home. It helps if you are a little artistic, but is much more satisfying having a go than simply ordering a made up arrangement from your florist.
Once you have created your display it is important to dust it off at least once per week to avoid dust from staining silk. If your flowers have discoloured despite this care, there is a product on the market that is especially designed to clean foliage and petals.
You should ensure that you never place your bouquet in direct sunlight. You would not do this with real flowers. Whereas real flowers would soon wilt, artificial ones will deteriorate in a different way by losing their colour and fading.
If you are not very often at home because of a busy workload, indoor plants such as these are ideal as you do not have to water them. They will still be in pristine condition when you return from a business trip or a holiday. So all round they will be a better bet if you are a busy person.
Of course artificial blooms serve a multitude of purposes. If you are into making greetings cards, you will be able to buy paper flowers on line for this purpose. Paper flowers are not a great deal of use in home decorations but cards are ideal.
